Patient Portal FAQs

Where does my health information in the Portal come from?

All of the information in the Portal comes from your Rivers Health electronic health records.

How do I log in to the Portal?

If you are already registered, click on the login button on the My Rivers Health Portal page and enter your username and password.

What if I am not registered to use the Portal?

You can use the self-enrollment button to register. You will need your Rivers Health medical record number and the e-mail address you supplied during registration. If you have not supplied Rivers Health with your e-mail address, you must present a valid photo ID to the Medical Records Department, open Monday through Friday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm.

Can I give a family member or caregiver access to my Patient Portal?

Yes, this is called Proxy Access. Once a child turns 18, a parent can only access the child’s medical records with the child’s authorization. If you help manage the medical care of another adult, it is also possible to request access to that individual’s health record. Complete the Proxy Request Form, which allows you to name a health care proxy such as your caregiver or a family member. You will then need to take the completed form to the Medical Records Department at Rivers Health. Please bring a photo ID for verification purposes.

Is my information safe?

Yes, your information is safe. Patient Portal passwords are encrypted, and URLs are rewritten so they cannot be copied and pasted. Only you and/or your authorized health care proxy have access to your Patient Portal.

Whom do I contact to discuss my results?

You may contact your primary care physician or the provider who ordered the test to discuss test results.

How will I know if my results are available to view on the Patient Portal?

You will receive an e-mail regarding new activity on your Patient Portal account.
