When Pleasant Valley Hospital (PVH) joined Mountain Health Network in
October 2022, alongside Cabell Huntington Hospital (CHH), St. Mary’s Medical
Center (SMMC), and Hoops Family Children’s Hospital, it marked the beginning
of a new era in regional health care. This transition gave rise to Rivers Health—
a name that reflects our profound connection to the community and our
commitment to advancing health care in the region.

This transformation was guided by you—our valued community members.
Through listening to and engaging with 2,041 community members and staff,
we learned about your desire for a health care provider that evolves while
staying true to its roots. Rivers Health emerged as a fresh identity that honors
tradition while embracing the future.

We take pride in surpassing our commitments to Mason and the surrounding
counties by expanding services, enhancing operations, increasing our physician
staff, and broadening access to specialists to address thecommunity’s evolving
needs. Today, Rivers Health stands as more than just a name. It is a symbol of
experience, compassion, and reliable care—all delivered close to home.

The community has spoken, and Rivers Health is now a trusted choice for
patients seeking quality care. As we continue to grow, we pledge to remain a
