The only Level IV trauma center in the region, Rivers Health has specially trained physicians and nurses who evaluate, stabilize and diagnose trauma patients. All emergency physicians and nurses have been trained and certified in trauma care and can provide advanced trauma life support when patients must be transferred to a higher-level trauma center.
As part of Marshall Health Network, Rivers Health's Emergency Department physicians are part of the same group that provides emergency services at Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary's Medical Center. So you can expect the same protocols and standards, as well as swift and seamless transport should you need it. .
