Marshall Health Network celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month with free screenings and events
Tuesday, September 16, 2025
This October, Marshall Health Network is hosting a series of events and activities to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer and the lifesaving importance of early detection.
MHN recommends women receive a mammogram each year, beginning at age 40. If a woman has a close relative who had breast cancer, she should begin her annual mammograms 10 years prior to the age of diagnosis. For uninsured and underinsured women who meet certain income guidelines, funding is available to cover all or part of the cost of a mammogram through the Good Samaritan and Pink Ribbon funds.
